Retired Army Special Forces LTC Rich Hoover is leading HMH through our Service-Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO) strategy where we help highly-qualified, retiring or transitioning servicemen/women move to business ownership through acquisition. Our goal is to create great leaders that grow meaningful enterprises that support our communities. Rich holds an MBA from Rice University.

Chris Mooney is the founder and Managing Partner of HMH and the architect of our investment thesis and Fund III strategy. His edge is pattern recognition — seeing structural shifts early enough to study them, build the case, and partner with an organization to act before the window closes. As an executive at Crown Castle International, he did exactly that over two decades: originating deal structures that became industry standard, partnering with leadership to fund capabilities that didn't yet exist, and deploying institutional capital across thousands of transactions. The capabilities he built remain at the core of the company today and created hundreds of jobs along the way. That experience left Chris with a deep conviction: that the right capital, delivered at the right moment, doesn't just grow a business — it changes trajectories. Fund III is built on that belief — that great businesses are built by great people given the right opportunity. Central to that mission is a commitment to veteran ownership, putting those who've demonstrated the discipline, service, and leadership of military life into the ownership seat they've earned. Chris holds an MBA from Rice University, is a Jones Scholar, and serves on the Board of the Rice Business Alumni Association.

Jerry has more than 25 years of experience in Midstream Energy and Infrastructure with a focus on strategy, business development, and execution. Prior to joining HMH, Jerry's career included stops at CITGO, Enterprise Products, Buckeye Partners, Oiltanking, and Belvedere Terminals.
